Nice to meet you. I am Tsuchiya, the so-called father of Lxgic. We will be posting updates from time to time about the original influencer apparel brand projects we work on, so thank you in advance for following along.
2019/10/24 un number E-Commerce Photoshoot in Shinonome
The other day we held a photoshoot for the e-commerce site of “un number,” an original influencer apparel brand we work on.
“un number” is a fashion brand created by aya_green1010, a fashion influencer with more than 220,000 followers on Instagram. The shirt released in the first drop sold out in two hours and thirty minutes, and requests for a restock are still pouring in. If you manage to buy one, it is a miracle of a shirt.

We decided to hold this shoot near Shinonome CODAN, where our office, Lxgic, is located. There were three reasons we chose Shinonome.
1. Shinonome CODAN, Hidden in Plain Sight
At Shinonome CODAN, six teams of architects each designed one of six blocks, so each block lines up with its own distinctive housing design, and the result looks like a future city out of a movie. I commute here every day, yet only now did I really notice that the place is packed with Instagram-worthy spots. Three of the blocks were designed by the famous Kengo Kuma, the same architect behind the main stadium for the Tokyo Olympics. It really was hidden in plain sight.

2. Easier Logistics and Scheduling for Location Shoots
What often becomes a problem during an outdoor location shoot is securing a “makeup room” and a “changing room.” Especially when you want to shoot in several places, long moves come up and the logistics get difficult. By using the Lxgic office as a base, on top of securing makeup and changing rooms, we could also call on other staff to help with all sorts of unexpected situations, which made things very easy.

3. HIDE COFFEE BEANS STORE
This was the biggest hit of the whole shoot. We discovered an incredibly cool shop right near the office and rented it out for an hour to shoot there.
With a house studio, the challenge is that it inevitably ends up looking like a studio, so unless you combine studio and location work you cannot get shots you are happy with. Both the exterior and interior were a perfect fit for the image of “un number.” The exterior in particular looked like New York City even though we were in Shinonome, and since Shinonome CODAN has a SoHo feel, the match was perfect. The coffee was incredibly good too, so if you are nearby, do check it out. http://www.hidecoffee.com

As soon as the new products are announced, we will be uploading the data from this shoot to the e-commerce site and Instagram, so stay tuned.
